Both “Rei” and “Ki” translate literally as “spirit” and the joint characters “Reiki” are often interpreted as universal life force energy or more simply, spiritual healing. The system of Reiki most commonly now practised in the west was established in Japan in the 1800s although the concept itself has been around for centuries. The aim of Reiki is to balance and harmonize the energy centres within the body, known as chakras promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. The Reiki energy will go to wherever it is needed most as directed by the body.
During a Reiki session, I will use my hands to lightly touch or hover over the body, facilitating the flow of this healing energy.
Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive therapy, often used to reduce stress, alleviate pain, and promote relaxation. It can be carried out in a seated or prone position and either “hands on” or “hands off”. I can also facilitate distance treatments.

Animal Reiki
Animals, are deeply sensitive to the energies around them. Reiki offers a calm, non-invasive way to support your pet’s physical, emotional, and energetic wellbeing. Whether they are recovering from illness, adjusting to changes, or simply in need of deep relaxation, Animal Reiki provides a space for healing at their own pace.
During an Animal Reiki session, I work intuitively, allowing your pet to lead the experience. Sessions can be carried out hands-on, at a respectful distance, or even remotely, depending on your animal’s needs and preferences. This creates a safe, soothing environment where they can receive the healing energy in whatever way feels most natural for them.
